POMPETTE – the charming French word for tipsy – is an independent restaurant and wine bar in Summertown, Oxford, from husband and wife duo Pascal and Laura Wiedemann.
Pascal has worked in London restaurants for 14 years, beginning his career with Henry Harris at Racine, then opening Terroirs with Ed Wilson where he became Executive Chef, before finally opening Six PortlandRoad. Whilst being classically trained in French cookery, and from French roots, his culinary take at Pompette will take inspiration from across Europe and be one of simplicity, comfort and care.

Having moved to Oxford in 2018 with their son, Pascal and Laura have designed a stylish charcuterie wine bar and dining room in Oxford’s pretty suburb of Summertown to fulfill their dream of having their own restaurant. With Pascal’s talent for creating seasonal classic European dishes and Laura’s flair for interior design, they have created a truly unique dining space for Oxford.
The charcuterie wine bar will be open six days a week from midday for guests to enjoy small plates & explore their carefully curated wine list, whilst diners can choose from the full restaurant menu in the dining room.
